We are working closely with indexing databases to ensure that Tobacco Prevention and Cessation
will be indexed retrospectively, from the first issue in appropriate databases.
To meet the indexing requirements, as with all new journals, Tobacco Prevention and Cessation
needs to show continuous manuscript publications, quality control mechanisms, a broad editorial board, international readership and submissions and a increasing number of high quality manuscripts in the production flow.
Currently, our journal has 4 strong pillars
An annual readership of over 20,000 viewsMore than 10,000 direct article downloads from our siteThe majority of authors have been supported by significant funding mechanisms (US NIH, US NCI, US FDA, EU Commission, WHO)We have a rejection rate of 47%
We believe that we are on track to have this important journal in the field ready for indexing in major databases by the Autumn of 2017, for retrospective indexing from its inaugural issue.
We currently are indexed in:
- DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals)
- CrossRef Metadata search
- OCLC (WorldCat.org)
- HEAL-LINK (Hellenic Academic Libraries Link)
Thank you for your support in developing an international, and greatly needed, journal in the field. It is your grassroots support that makes the development of the journal possible.
